Huntington Applied builds software and systems for advanced research: platforms, tools and infrastructure for organizations doing complex scientific and engineering work. Its stated aim is to shorten the path from research to systems people can use.

Its work spans simulation and modeling, security infrastructure for research environments, development tooling and research operations. The featured platform is Boltzmann, a collaborative multiphysics simulation platform that pairs forward simulation with inverse device design.

Engagements are limited to software and simulation development: custom research infrastructure, simulation platforms, platform licensing and research partnerships. The work is carried out by the members who build and maintain the company's own platforms.

Membership is lifetime and invite-only, with new members approved unanimously by existing members. A Models page catalogs open neural-net surrogate weights published across its research projects.
